This meeting will provide an opportunity for residents of estates going through estate regeneration and who are at risk of demolition to come together to share and exchange with others in the same situation. We will also explore possible ongoing mutual support and effective working together.
Since 1997, 55,000 council homes in London have been demolished and as a result 131,000 tenants and leaseholders have been displaced. More than 100 housing estates in 29 London boroughs are currently at risk of demolition. Most of these are council estates.
Estate Watch is an online resource set up by Just Space and London Tenants Federation, is an independent resource with a lot of information to support tenants and leaseholders whose estates are at risk.
