Thursday, 28th April, 6:30 pm — South London Sub-Regional (Zoom) Meeting
Accessing legal support and building stronger, organised social housing tenants’ voices in South London: Rhiannon Hughes (South West London Law Centres) will join us to discuss how the law and legal representatives can support tenants’ groups in taking collective action. What kind of support from LTF’s membership development worker would help us in building tenant representation across these seven boroughs, four of which no longer have council-owned housing?

Tuesday, 3rd May, 6:30 pm — Central Corridor Sub-Regional (Zoom) Meeting
Central Activities Zone (CAZ): The CAZ, an area defined by the Mayor of London, is in the middle of the Central Corridor sub-region. The Mayor’s map of the CAZ (found in the supplemental planning guidance) highlights the main government, finance, business and tourist locations; but, we know that there are many social housing estates and community facilities here too. At this meeting, we will start putting together an alternative map, which will highlight social housing estates and community facilities that are valued by social housing communities in London rather than those valued by international business elites and tourists. We will look to see if and where there are gaps in investment between the spaces and things that social housing communities value and those actually invested in.
