Social Media Training for London social housing tenants

Tenants associations, organisations and co-ops across London are using social media to bring their communities together, celebrate their achievements and get the word out about their events and campaigns.

London Tenants Federation is holding a free social media training event for those who want to get online but don’t know how or for those who are already using social media but want to learn how to have more of an impact.

When? Wednesday’s 15th January, 10.30am to 3.30pm

Where? Ampthill Square Tenants and Residents Hall, London NW1 2JS

AGENDA

Depending on your interest and level of experience, participants may join us for the whole day, the morning session (for those who are relatively new to social media) or the afternoon session (for anyone, including those with more experience).

Learn the basics: 10.30am to 12.30pm

This will cover:

  • Twitter, Facebook, Instagram: which are for you?
  • Walkthrough: Setting up a Twitter account and a Facebook page
  • Do’s and don’ts

Master the art: 1.30pm to 3.30pm

This will cover:

  • Creating a successful social media strategy
  • Reaching your target audience and growing your audience
  • Social media campaigning tools to help you get your word out
  • How to measure your impact

This is a free event for social housing tenants in London. Booking is essential and spaces are limited. Email info@londontenants.org if you are interested in joining. 

Please let us know if you wish to join us for the morning session, the afternoon session or both. Refreshments will be provided but those attending for the morning and afternoon sessions must provide their own lunch.
