Fire Safety Reforms: London Tenants Federation Consultation Response

In response to the Grenfell Tower disaster, the government is creating a new regulatory system governing high-rise building and fire safety in England. Until 12 October 2020 it was consulting on reforms to the Fire Safety Order 2005 that cover safety responsibilities for landlords and building managers. This is the response we gave to that consultation.

The government has promised that residents voices and safety will be at the heart of this new high-rise safety system, but there is plenty of evidence that this is not the case.
