This document submitted to the GLA Housing Committee  in highlights the need for genuinely social-rented homes in London. In describes the urgent need for increased supply of  genuinely affordable social-rented home and provides the economic and social evidence of the negative impacts of extending the right to buy to housing associations. It proposes that the housing committee: lobby the Mayor to produce an annual document which provides accurate and transparent comprehensive  information on all aspects of housing need, including loss due to RTB , carry out a full investigation into these issues and lobby central government to assert the special case for London.
