Ron Hollis, a tenant of Lambeth council, describes the wearing away of tenant democracy within his local authority and the slipping of social housing down the council’s agenda. He concludes: “The Mayor of London can act by establishing, recognising and supporting good practice” in tenant engagement.

Ron was speaking at the London Assembly Housing Committee open mic session about social housing after Grenfell, held jointly with London Tenants Federation in May 2018.
