What is a TRA?
Tenants and Residents Associations bring people together to form a stronger, more accountable voice when working with their landlord.

What does a TRA Do?
Tenants and Residents Associations (TRAs) bring together communities of tenants and leaseholders to have a strong, accountable and collective voice when dealing with their landlord.
Tenants and Residents Associations are:
- Local TRAs: usually cover a single housing estate or a nearby group of streets.
- Open to all residents: regardless of tenure, gender, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation, can take part in elections and meetings.
- Accountable: TRAs are democratic and representative. Chairs and Committees are usually elected by residents at an Annual General Meeting.
